The Staircase
‘Vide à la moderne’, that is to say, open with arcades onto the central void, the main staircase (around 1618) led to the parish Council room (1st floor) and the temple (2nd floor) where every week the Protestants of the surrounding area would appear. This explains the scale of the staircase and the landings since otherwise the staircase only serves two rooms.
The Kitchens
The services, grouped in the half-basement, have retained their original layout: kitchen with great fireplace and all its equipment, scullery for the dishes, larder, wine cellar, domestics’ dining room.
